Who manages the volunteer projects in Mubaku Community Conservation Organization?

The Executive Director of the Mubaku Community Conservation Organization? (MUCCO) Country Coordinator is responsible for researching appropriate volunteer projects that match up with  the qualifications and skills of the applicants.

What are the daily schedules of the project?

Project schedules vary for each project in the district of Buliisa, Masindi and Pakwach. Most volunteers participate in their respective/assigned projects from Monday to Friday for 4-6 hours a day. Most volunteers have the weekends to themselves where they can see the local sights and explore Uganda on their own.

Where are the projects located?

MUCCO’s volunteer projects in Uganda are located in the following areas:
(i) Mubaku village and neighboring villages like Ngwedo, Nyamutete, Paraa, Kilyango
(ii) Buliisa Secondary school community
(iii) Lakeshore of Lake Albert: Wanseko landing sites, Walukuba, Bugoigoi
(iv) National park community.
(v) Pakwach town dwellers.

What is the language spoken in the project areas?

(i) Lugungu is the spoken local language in Buliisa
(ii) Lunyoro in Hoima
(iii) Luo in Pakwach
Note: Educated Ugandans are generally fluent English-speakers.
