Construction Update

Welcome to our first newsletter!  A lot has happened since we launched the Mubaku Education Foundation.

  • The four-room schoolhouse in Mubaku, Uganda, is nearing completion.
  • Twenty-two Bright Future School students have been personally sponsored to attend for the school year.
  • Mubaku Educational Foundation was granted tax-exempt 501(c) 3 status by the IRS.

School House Construction

Feb 21, 2019; Outside plastering completed!

The schoolhouse walls, roof, doors, and windows have been completed.  Progress pictures can be viewed at mukbauschool.org/progress.  To complete the project, the cement floor needs to be poured, and the latrine must be completed.  The cost to complete construction will be just under $3,000 USD, which we still need to raise.   The Ugandan government requires that latrines be completed before opening the school. Charles tells us that the whole village is getting excited about how close they are to completion.

Twenty-Two Students Sponsored

Ajolorwoth Doreen is happy to be sponsored. She is in primary three. She is 10 years

So far twenty-two students have been personally sponsored for the school year.  A process is being developed to provide donors updates on their sponsored children.   So stay tuned.

501 (c) 3 Status Received

Your donations to Mubaku are tax-deductible.

100% of what you give through Mubaku Education Foundation goes directly to Mubaku Village’s school efforts.  The only exception is a small fee that PayPal and gofundme charge if you give through them.  Board members personally donate all Mubaku Educational Foundation operational and formation costs.

Current Need

The children are very excited! Here some of them are with the headmaster.

The students are eagerly awaiting the opening of their new school. We need just under $3,000 USD to complete construction.  Every gift counts.  You can donate using GoFundMe or PayPal at our website mubakuschool.org  or mail a check to:
